Our Story
Our journey began on August 23, 2012, the day we first opened our doors to the public. What started as a simple dream—rooted in family, faith, and love—quickly became a place where memories are made and traditions are shared. From the very beginning, we welcomed our community with open arms and grateful hearts, thankful for every person who walked through our doors and became part of our story.
Some of our sweetest inspiration comes from the past. As a child, many cherished memories were made in my grandmother’s kitchen. Early Saturday mornings were filled with the comforting aroma of freshly baked Mexican breads and pastries, a scent that wrapped around us like a warm hug and reminded us we were home and deeply loved. Those moments stayed close to my heart through the years.
Later, as a wife and mother, my husband and I began reflecting on how many bakeries had moved away from traditional methods, relying heavily on preservatives and excessive sugar. We dreamed of returning to something simpler and more honest—baked goods made with care, natural ingredients, and love, just like my grandmother used to make. After a month of heartfelt conversations, prayers, and a leap of faith, we decided to open our own bakery. It was never just about business; it was about sharing warmth, tradition, and love with our community, one pastry at a time.
This bakery is truly a family effort. My husband and children have been an incredible blessing, helping wherever they are needed—baking, cooking, serving customers, working the register, and keeping everything running smoothly. Together, we have built more than a business; we have built a family dream grounded in teamwork, dedication, and love.
Along the way, we have been humbled and honored by the recognition we’ve received. Being featured in the Journal Star and by Bradley University was something we never imagined when we first started. Receiving an award from the Black Business Alliance of the Peoria Chapter was especially meaningful, reminding us that our hard work and commitment to quality and community have not gone unnoticed.
Above all, we are deeply grateful—to our family, our community, and every customer who continues to support us. Because of you, this dream is still alive, growing, and filled with purpose. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your table and your traditions. 💛
